About the artist

Fife artist Christopher Amos (Amosartworks)

Hi, my name is Christopher Amos and I live in the rural village of Blairhall, Fife, not far from the Highlands of Scotland.

Originally sketching and drawing portraits in graphite from an early age, I subsequently started using pastels for portrait art and to do dog portraits and cat portraits for family and friends.

The early years…..

As a member of the Dunfermline Art Club, I have been fortunate to be able to paint in my spare time and show my work with the Club over the years. I still exhibit work periodically within the Clubs gallery located in the Kingsgate Centre in Dunfermline, and also in their annual exhibitions.

At the Clubs summer exhibition in 2019, I won the Jess Burns award by public vote for my cat painting of a Maine Coon in soft pastels.

My main area of expertise is creating portrait art from client photographs, some of which you can view in my gallery.

I like to get out and about and use what I see in my travels for inspiration to create landscapes and abstracts in oils, acrylic, watercolour and pastels, and these can be viewed in my other galleries.
